The Sinclair Method Institute is a new retreat facility located an hour outside of Atlanta Georgia. We are an actual unique brick-and-mortar lodge on a 70 wooded acre estate. In the cyber age of "telemed" websites offering consulting, counseling, and coaching, and even physician prescribing services.
We can still take your pulse, check your BP, and offer human interaction, run the requisite blood screening, and provide in-person intervention to full immersion social scenarios that are associated with drink.
Sitting at a computer at your desk at home or in your living room, might be fine for ordering off of Amazon or posting on Twitter or your Facebook page, but there are many distractions- trips to the refrigerator, etc... that all distract from your focus and your resolve. It takes a great amount of self-discipline to devote 100% of your attention- especially to something that will ostensibly change you life.
As opposed to "on-line" courses... in our seminars, workshops and retreats...you will devote all your attention... without the normal household distractions, and without having to exercise self- discipline.
Additionally, there is an "initiation" phase whereby a client needs to have a trial run... a "rehearsal" so to speak... to medically monitor the effects and response to the naltrexone... followed by a drinking session, whereby it does not devolve into a binge. It is this "rehearsal" that is so crucial in reinforcing the client's, and their spouse/partner's confidence, experience, and expectations.
Our mission, is to be instrumental in promoting, exposing, and creating public awareness of The Sinclair Method t as the obvious and informed alternative , and to providing a safe space featuring in-person education and experiential immersion into the Sinclair Method culture and community.
We DO NOT subscribe to A.A.'s long-held philosophy of anyone's "being powerless over alcohol"... when we have scientifically-proven results of a 75% - 80% success rate of alcohol extinction (dare we use the word "cure"?)... of "one little pill". Yes, we can show you how to take back that power, and to decide what part alcohol should play in your life.
Although Naltrexone doesn't work for absolutely for everybody, a 75%-80% chance of being cured, is pretty good odds, and sometimes is just a matter of adjusting dosages.
The Sinclair Method/ Naltrexone community, is a culture of thousands of true believers-- whose lives have been forever changed, and improved.
This is by all definitions, a "grass- roots" movement, because all the protective patents have long expired, and neither "big pharma" nor the monolithic behavioral healthcare industry can't make any money off of it!
Therefore, there's no marketing/ advertising budget to promote the Sinclair Method treatment pro-gram to compete with (or offset) the health and pharma industry's self-serving and profit-seeking publicity.
That's why it isn't yet mainstream.
