The Real Deal
Worldwide, alcohol abuse kills more people than HIV, nearly 3.3 million per year. Yet what the public believes, and Alcoholics Anonymous purports, “Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic,” is simply not true. There IS an alcoholism cure that allows you to control drinking.
Nor is the fundamental principle for treating alcoholism that we all take as truth; abstinence. Science has shown that abstinence not only doesn’t take away the addiction, but also increases the craving. So why has one modality dominated our thought since the 1930’s? Why are profitable rehab facilities reluctant to change? And why are millions of people still being denied the opportunity of a simple life saving method and drug that have been FDA approved since 1994?
The Sinclair Method is a medical treatment for alcoholism that involves the use of opiate antagonists while continuing normal drinking habits, in order to trigger the brain’s own mechanism, called extinction, for removing responses. The antagonist blocks the reinforcement, and drinking while reinforcement is blocked causes extinction of drinking.
The result is a gradual weakening of the craving for alcohol and a progressive decrease in drinking. a simple, safe method with an established success rates of 78%, backed by years of research, clinical trials, and universal acceptance.
Such weakening of the craving for alcohol (the "addiction") is a progressive treatment, that after 9 months to a year, diminishes to the point where drinking is simply an option of choice-- not a compulsion or necessity. This behavioral reprogramming is called "pharmacological extinction", and is voluntary, and self-managed according you your own needs and goals.
Treatment Method & Program
Unlike most alcoholism treatments, such as disulfiram, calcium carbimide, or Alcoholics Anonymous based "12 Step" doctrine developed in 1932 (based on faith and commitment to abstinence-- not science), as well as numerous other psychotherapy "treatment" programs, "new age" or mindfulness courses or disciplines, equine therapy, etc, ad infinitum... the Sinclair Method ("TSM") does not require detoxification and abstinence.
Instead, patients following The Sinclair Method take a prescribed dose of naltrexone (Revia™) prior to every planned drinking session or potential drinking opportunity. They drink as they want to, but week after week they want to drink less.
Use of this effect has been standardized into a technique called "The Sinclair Method", named after the man who first developed it, Dr. John David Sinclair, and numerous years of laboratory research and clinical trials This has been a methodology extrapolated from 76 clinical studies, and numerous professional peer-reviewed published articles in prestigious scientific and medical journals since the late 1980's.
The Sinclair Method protocol paradoxically requires consuming alcohol on a regular and periodic basis-- but in combination with "One Little Pill" (Naltrexone)... thereby rendering such drinking sessions unsatisfying lacking the "high" or "buzz", and unlikely to turn into a full-blown binge if the brain derives no satisfaction/reward.
This necessity to drink as part of the treatment protocol is antithetical and contradictory to one's inclination and established beliefs, as well as their family, spouse and loved ones.... and that's where The Sinclair Method Institute can help educate and change the entire family's attitude and prospective of a new life for the sufferer. Education and understanding the process are the first steps for a new life free from the control of alcohol.
It is a reset-- a "redo", and YOU get to redefine your new relationship with alcohol... whether it is having a glass or two of wine with dinner, a social drink with friends, or none at all!
The Sinclair Method, is the new age next-gen medically proven treatment! It's too good not to be true!
The Sinclair Method Institute is the only certifying organization in the world that officially sponsors education and training in The Sinclair Method treatment protocols, offering introductory courses courses with CE credits that are accepted by most state licensing boards, as well as co-sponsorship with other accredited organizations.
